- Manage and execute all marketing efforts for the facility in conjunction with the Director of Business Development and the directors of soccer, volleyball, basketball, youth programs, sports performance, events, and food service. This will include the creation of, and adherence to, a full year marketing calendar.
- Consistently and creatively introduce and develop new marketing initiatives designed to increase facility visibility and to develop new sales leads and support growth of existing products across all programs.
- Manage the work of all personnel involved in marketing campaigns to ensure the campaigns are completed and executed as planned.
- Work closely with the General Manager to find, develop, and grow strategic marketing partnerships with companies and individuals looking to leverage the assets of The Nittany Valley Sports Centre in mutually beneficial relationships.
- Create engaging graphics and visual content for various marketing channels, including social media, website, email campaigns, and print materials.
- Manage social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and Internet-based advertising by creating posts and promotions, engaging with followers, and directing the campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, provide regular reports, and make data-driven recommendations and adjustments for optimization.
- Maintain and update the facility's website to ensure accurate and up-to-date information, optimize user experience, and drive traffic.
- Work closely with our Director of Business Development on strategies and identification of target markets.
- Stay informed and educated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- A minimum of two years of documented experience in marketing or directly related activities.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator to create visually appealing content.
- Experience with WordPress or similar content management systems for website maintenance and updates.
- Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and hands-on experience with social media and Internet-based advertising (Google Ads, etc.).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating presentations and reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling marketing messages.
- Creative thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for sports and event marketing.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience with photography and videography is a plus.
- This position requires a minimum of two days per week in the building, with the option for remote work for the remaining hours. Some of the hours in the building must be in the evening and on weekends, when many of our programs are run. First-hand knowledge of our products and active face-to-face engagement with our customers is critical.
- Occasional and limited weekend availability will be required for special events or marketing activities.
- Salary starts at $25.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
- A 401K plan is available for eligible employees after six months of service.
